This page is at the suggestion of Mark Radford of Nottingham. He is a keen walker and completed many of my walks. Recently he walked all the Cromford Canal and Chesterfield Canal walks - the first person to do so. The photo, which he sent me, is of us - he is aged 11 - in 1981, following a lecture at Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, on my Pacific Crest Trail walk - 2,800 miles in western America. Anyone is welcome to send me pictures to add to this page.
