About the Author - Rosemary Robb was born in Surrey and moved to Newark Nottinghamshire as a child. She is widowed with two grown up children. Is a member of Newark Writer’s Club, and vice-chairman of Nottingham Writer’s Club.Rosemary took an early retirement from the Library in Newark Technical College to promote her first Book, ‘GHOSTS AND LEGENDS OF NEWARK’.
She also wanted more time to hunt for Ghost stories, to travel, to research local history and folklore, and most of all, to spoil her first grand-child.
She enjoys acting, dancing, photography and the ‘good life’ when funds allow it. She gives lectures and talks on Ghosts.
This is her second Book. Her third book “Restless Spirit” - is proving to be very popular. Her latest book is “Wartime Ghosts and Mysteries.”
About the Book - ‘Ghost Hunting’ follows the success of the author’s first book, ‘Ghosts and Legends of Newark’ now in its sixth print.
This second ghost book also contains some local legends and a few premonitions. However, by request, its stories cover a wider area including Newark, Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.
Its chapters include ghost stories of monks, cavaliers, airmen, children and animals - to name but a few.
Stories include ‘The ghost of Rose Cottage’, ‘The pilot returns’, ‘The thing that went bump in the night’, ‘The angel weeps’. ‘Night of terror’, ‘The phantom stage coach’ and ‘Ghosts at the Oliver Cromwell’.
