The book follows the success of the author's three existing ghost books - "Ghost and Legends of Newark", "Ghost Hunting in Nottinghamshire" and "The Restless Spirit."
Theis book contains stories, mostly from ex-serviceman, from all parts of the world and their strange experiences.
Stories come from Dunkirk, Salerno, Anzio, The Channel Islands, Egypt. Valkenberg, Sangapore and some from the Britsih Isles. They include - "Ghosts in the minefiled", "Bomber's Moon", "Ghosts at Sea", and the "Tortured Spirit".

Rosemary Robb of Newark Nottinghamshire, took early retirement from her library career to promote her first book. Now a Vive President of the Nottingham Writer's Club, she gives talks to W.I.'s, Rotay Clubs and Local History Societies, and is well known on local radio.
