Scattered around the peat moors of Kinder, Bleaklow and Saddleworth are the remains of more than fifty aircraft thet mostly crashed during World War Two. These eleven circular walks - 8 to 15 miles - take you to every crash site, with grid references and compass bearings to help you locate each one. Some have a large amount wreckage - engines, wings and landing gear, whilst others, only a few fragments. Many have a memorial. They are fascinating places to deiscover but are also the final resting place of the gallant aircrew and respect should be shown. Take only photographs.
