The 35 mile route starts from King's Lynn, Norfolk, England's third major port in the Middle Ages. Here pilgrims from the Continent landed at Purfleet, to start their pilgrimage walk to Walsingham. This guide traces the 35 mile long medieval route, through the unspoilt Norfolk countryside and past ten churches to the Shrine at Walsingham - England's Nazereth. The places passed include North Wooton, Castle Rising, West Newton, Great Bircham, Docking, Stanhoe and North Creake.
The guide breaks the route down into easy stages, with full ammenities list. Most people allow 3 days for the walk.
Included is a log to record your walk and be able to apply for a special embroidered cloth badge and signed certificate.
