Starting from St. James church, Louth, the 26 mile circular walk takes you around the unspilt Lincolnshire Wolds. The walk is rich in history and seven sites of "lost" medieval villages - mostly depopul;ated as a result of the Black Death - are seen. Combined are several small attractive villages with fascinating churches. The walk can either be done in a day of over a weekend with Donnington on Bain as the halfway point - the only shop, inn and accomodation on the route.
