The Trent & Mersey canal is one of the major canals in England, linking the River Mersey in Cheshire, to the River Trent in Derbyshire. This 100 mile walk follows the canal from end to end, through attractive peaceful countryside passing major canal features - Anderton Lift - as well as industrial centres of Northwich (salt), Stoke on Trent (Pottery) and Burton Upon Trent (brewing).
