CANAL WALK GUIDES

Twenty short circular walks - 3 to 8 miles long - on the historic Chestefield Canal, from Chesterfield, Derbyshire to West Stockwith, Nottinghamshire, where it joins the River Trent. Combined all the walks explore the full length of the canal, including restored sections and disused arms. History notes are included as are details of inns and cafe's along the way. The guide has numerous photographs which amplify the canal's story, with maps and walking instructions, for you to explore a section of canal and its immediate area. The walks are for everyone to enjoy as you visit North East Derbyshire, South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. Having walked it in sections you can walk it in its entireity, along the 46 mile, Cuckoo Way.
